“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed citizens can change the world. Indeed it’s the only thing that ever has.” – Margaret Mead
A lot can happen in 5 years. What if you could say that in 5 years you’ve donated $750,000 to charity? Well that’s just what ONEHOPE Wine has done. In just 5 short years, they’ve managed to turn giving back into a lifestyle of hope and change by donating 50% of their profits to partner charities. Today marks ONEHOPE’s 5th birthday and there’s definitely a reason to celebrate!
All week long, ONEHOPE Wine has been blogging about each of their 5 core varietal wines and the charity that each supports. They’ve even been presenting a special birthday wine pairing each day. Something sweet, of course! But the best part about these blog posts have been facts and figures they’ve included. Yesterday they highlighted their Chardonnay and its commitment to detecting breast cancer early. They shared that in 5 years of business, they’ve donated a total of $111,775 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, that’s 1,117 mammograms provided to women without health insurance. That on it’s own is reason enough to celebrate, but it doesn’t stop there. They’ve planted trees to reverse the effects of global warming on our planet, honored our troops and the families of fallen soldiers, saved children infected with AIDS in Africa and India, and helped provide care and treatment to children with autism. Still need a reason to drink their wine? Head over to their blog to read exactly how they give back with each bottle sold.
Curious as to how it all started? Be sure to watch the ONEHOPE story here, told by CEO Jake Kloberdanz.
“For five years we’ve had the pleasure of developing and selling our socially conscious wine and working towards HOPE for the future, and we still have great things ahead. We will continue to work hard to grow our charitable cause brand, make our customers and affiliates happy, and help incredible charities across the country.” – ONEHOPE Wine
Thanks for all the incredible work you’ve done these past 5 years. We can’t wait to see what the next 5 years will hold. We’ll be toasting in your honor all weekend! Cheers to you, ONEHOPE!
