The Founding Mothers

Even though this should happen all year long, Mother’s Day is the day to honor your Mom. To cherish her, show your appreciation, and thank her for all she’s done for you. Let’s face it — for a lot of us, we’d be lost without our Moms. They are incredible human beings. That’s how the 7 founders of ONEHOPE Wine feel. This Mother’s Day they wanted to share a little something special about the most the important woman in their lives. Here’s why this amazing group of 7 is thankful this Mother’s Day…

My mom had all 9+ pounds of me through a cesarean section birth on Mothers day.  I believe she was in labor for just over 24 hours and I barely made it alive.  Talk about making sacrifice from day 1.  She’s not only one of the greatest loves of my life, but is and always will be the first role model I had on how to be a respected leader in business and life. Her integrity, work ethic and overall disposition are second to none.  ONEHOPE was originally a brand that I dreamt up for her as a consumer – The glue in the family, the one who kept the pantry stocked with food and drinks, and always excited about any opportunity to give back with her everyday actions.  – Jake Kloberdanz, CEO

I’m extremely thankful for my mom, Donna, and for all of her love and support throughout my journey with ONEHOPE Wine. I think the rest of the founders can agree that she is our #1 fan (and probably #1 customer – especially of our Chardonnay!). She has always been there for me as both a mother and best friend, and this year I look forward to finally giving her a grand child! :) – Kristen Shroyer, Vice President of Sales – Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, and Colorado

I am grateful for my Mother’s sense of humor and always being able to hook me up with a waffle in the morning before school.  Happy Mother’s Day! – Tom Leahy, President

One of the many words that come to mind when I think of my mother is COMPASSION!  Whether it has been working with people who have Cerebral Palsy before I was born, or volunteering at the San Diego Rescue Mission helping the homeless for as long as I can remember, my mother has always had it in her heart to help others that really need it and that is one quality I truly cherish about my mother! – Sarah Gora, Vice President of Sales Western Region

I wouldn’t be where I am today without my Mom, she has always been there for me no matter what.  She is by far the greatest influence in my life, supportive, loving, and gives me the kick in the butt when I need it. – Blake Petty, Chief Operations Officer

Throughout my life, my mother always pushed me to work hard, to not take short cuts and strive to reach my potential. Initially it was in school and sports, but I has definitely made an impact on my life as an adult and in the business world. Whether it was being forced to stay in and study for a test or spending weekends traveling all over the country for sporting events, no matter how much I loved or hated it, those times helped shape me into the person I am today. Without her love, support and motivation over the years, there is no way I would be living out my dreams today. – Brandon Hall, Chief Marketing Officer

I am so grateful for my AMAZING Mom.  She is an inspiration to me in so many ways and I am also proud to call her one of my best friends.  I could never thank her enough for the sacrifices she made to give me every opportunity I could ever ask for.  I only hope someday I could be half as good at being a mom! – Tiffany Wojtkiewicz, Executive Vice President of Sales

To all the Mothers – Happy Mothers Day! Continue teaching and loving…
